Superstition and Winning at Bingo
Bingo is a mere gamble, in which winning and losing depends upon sheer luck. Even professional bingo players with years of experience cannot rule this out. Bingo players are often found relying on their luck charms and other superstitions. Ironically, they often change their mindset after losing a couple of times. Such superstitions can only enhance self confidence, which eventually tumbles after trailing in a few games. No matter, how much one may believe in such things, but at the end its just luck that plays a major role in winning bingo games.
Normally, people with superstitious beliefs have their own set of imaginative conclusions, almost about everything in the world. A common superstition among bingo players is of lucky numbers, they feel as if their lucky number will come to their rescue and help them make quick buck. Bingo is based on numbers, but does a lucky number has to do with it! Some others keep their precious charms along while playing a bingo game. Well, all such acts are based on superstitions and have nothing to do with wining at a bingo game. However, such things keep the players motivated and the game continues to excite and disappoint them.
There are an interesting set of people, who keep changing charms each time they lose a bingo game. But the fact is that anyone can win a bingo game, it’s not necessary to have a lucky charm along or have lucky number in mind. Rather such things may cause distraction and hamper game play. Moreover, none of the bingo manuals point to have lucky charm. It’s that simple! But who can stop people from believing what they wish to. Bingo is based on random numbers, which cannot be predicted, so there is no point in trying anything beyond the manual guidelines.
People performing superstitious acts only become leg-pulling targets for others, when they lose, or even if they win. They are a good entertainment source for the rest. One of the major drawbacks of believing in superstitions while playing a bingo game is that, one can get crazy enough to empty his pocket before realising that the charms do not work in bingo. A disappointing fact about such believers is that they do not realise that their beliefs are based on pointless assumptions, even after suffering hefty losses. But they may feel so very proud, if they ever win, and will give all the credit to their pointless superstitious approach.
